Nostalgic Child

I understand. It's like running across an old playground. You know, chasing the "shadows" & your imaginary friends. It all becomes nostalgic when you're older. When I look back I see a child who knew nothing. Knew nothing yet was so hopeful of the world. He could grasp the world & his world was something that nobody can predict. Imaginative & oh-so-witty, this child had it all. Filled with spirit & melancholia, he loved the world. He wasn't afraid to knock down the big bad castles of the bourgeoisie. He had a toy pistol in one hand & his other hand on his heart. Fearless with strong eyes, ready to take down the world. Ready to be king. Silly child. I miss that child. So charasmatic & devoid of any fear. Nostalgia makes the little hope I have left smile. And once I get out of here, I'll have more smiling days. Just like when I was a kid.

Searching

Timeless warping through an infinite dimension.
"You seem lost child. Is there something you are searching for?"
"I search for a disturbance I cannot track down."
"And what disturbance may that be?"
"I don't know, all I know it's destroying me within. I have to destroy the thing that kills me. It consumes the better part of me. Slowly I am drifting to insanity & I can't help but show the weakness of my true self."
"If insanity is the way out, don't you think it's something you should pursue?"
"My insanity is not to be taken so lightly. You wouldn't want to awake me."
"Child, we're all beasts inside."
"Yeah so what. I promised I wouldn't let go of my psyche. I wouldn't be swallowed & left to deteriorate by this insanity."
"Child, in this world you either hunt or you be hunted."
"I rather be hunted in the search of my true self than be the hunter hurting others without a probable cause. You see I am what you call a hopeless believer. I may give up time to time, but I won't be stopped by anything. I won't stop."
"Foolish child."
"A child's nativety is what makes the world advance & entertaining. Without the naivety what would the human race do?"

Pacific Coast Highway

As I drive down the coast & as I watch you take a luscious breath. I begin to reminisce in the adventures.
The flickering city lights that filled two lost souls. The shimmering delusions of a once now distant past. They turn ghosts into children.
Running through the wild, the search of divinity.
Smoking all the dope, snorting all the coke.
Wild cats crashing city to city. Prowling creatures of the mysterious night.
The high life, night life, the fantasy life.
Right infront of us. In arms reach, but no one seems to grasp it.
Eyes on the road, the synthesized chill wave sounds, the ocean crashing beside us.
It feels so right. It feels nostalgic. It feels euphoric.
I'm tired of the sunrise.
I'm ready for the sunset.
